This Dutch Colonial in the Gables section of Neptune got a renovation that touched nearly every room while keeping the home’s original character.
In the kitchen, we refinished the existing cabinets and installed custom concrete countertops. The dining room got wainscoting and new wallpaper. In the front room, we redid the fireplace mantel in antiqued wood and converted the fireplace to gas. We also opened a wall to add French doors into the office.
In the family room, we built a custom built-in around the second fireplace, which stayed wood-burning, and added a large scenic window. A second scenic window went in at the front of the house, so both rooms fill with natural light. We finished the job by refinishing the floors throughout and renovating the downstairs full bathroom.
